The Urban Legend

While many of our customers will tell you that Urban can do anything that’s not exactly true. We do, however, do many things and we do them all very well. For over 40 years Urban Service has provided trash and recycling services as our core business. Today, we have an expanded portfolio of businesses that include excavation and construction as well as Biosolids management and transportation. Our diverse activities are tied together by our ability to manage large scale, complex projects while delivering exceptional results for our clients.

Waste & Recycling

Solid Waste & Recycling have been the core of Urban’s business for over thirty years. We work closely with our customers to maintain a clean operating environment and keep their businesses operating efficiently. We provide a full-range of services and equipment including compactors and roll off containers.

  • Living Green/Recycling Process

  • Urban offers our customers a variety of programs for minimizing waste to landfills and to help meet local and federal guidelines.  These programs include GreenLight (sm) our fluorescent bulb recycling program, ComPro (sm), our local food composting program and SingleServe (sm) our single stream material recycling program.

  • Working Green

  • Urban has switched to 100% wind power for our headquarter and operations terminals.  Through Clean Energy of Colorado we are purchasing Carbon offsets that are equivalent to 145,505 pounds of carbon emissions.

Transportation

Urban Transportation is a dynamic transportation carrier that provides timely hauling services to a wide variety clients. We continue to expand our portfolio of service-sensitive, specialty operations to meet our customers unique needs. Our experienced drivers are always on available to provide the high levels of service and performance that Urban customers have come to expect.

Biosolids

For over 10 years Urban service has performed hauling and beneficial reuse services for Biosolids for local wastewater treatment facilities. We have a reputation for delivering timely, safe and efficient services to our clients.

Excavation and Construction

Urban Construction Group leverages the resources, experience and commitment that has made Urban successful over the past 33 years. Urban recently completed the earthworks for the Washington Nationals Baseball Stadium in partnership with the Anderson Companies. Due in part to the efforts of Urban, the Nationals stadium, garages and office building were completed on-time.
